Description
Designed to provide the precision and rugged reliability required for today’s demanding applications, we are proud to offer the newly redesigned Summit® 70″, 80″, 100″ Series Big Swing Hollow Spindle Lathes. The Big Swing lathes are available in center distances from 80″ to 600″ with a 8″ spindle bore to cover a wide range of workpieces and feature castings that are heavily ribbed for rigidity and vibration dampening. The headstock is designed with straight cut final drive gears to provide quiet and efficient operation through the full range of spindle speeds. The extra wide (52.9″) bed ways are hardened and precision ground to provide high accuracy and long life and the bed is constructed from high-grade alloyed cast iron, normalized and aged to achieve maximum stability.
