1. Tough and Responsive Servo Drives
Each axis is fitted with an independent servo to deliver maximum precision and speed. These servos not only execute precise operation but also do simultaneous cuts with smooth transition and durability as they provide responsive feedback to the control.
2. Stable and Durable Construction
EVS 760-B Series Mills are constructed with aged and stable Meehanite alloyed cast iron. The machine is heavily cross ribbed to ensure rigidity and vibration damping, making the machine stable and hard-wearing.
The main spindles and guideways are thermally treated and hardened up to Hardness Rockwell Scale C (HRC) 48-56 and precision ground. Spindles are fixed on high accuracy bearings, while the table guideways are fitted with Turcite B to significantly lower friction and assure accuracy and durability.
3. Safe and Energy-Efficient Electrics
Summit Machine Tool prioritizes safety and energy efficiency in designing its machines. This is evident on the Nema-type enclosure of the EVS 760-B, especially on the SmartCut SC EVS 760-B CNC. This enclosure is where all the electrics are located. It is fan-cooled, with electronic inverter-controlled braking and a safety interlock system to prevent machine operation when the enclosure is open. Low-voltage controls allow for safer operations.

With dual operating systems, this feature-packed CNC control system is capable of both the ISO G-code control system for automatic operations and icon conversational programming with highly interactive graphics for manual operations.
Fagor CNC 8055 Control offers ease of operation and versatility with 26 total cycle operations. Automatic modes provide convenience with symbol keys and interactive data entry. The Fagor CNC 8055 is versatile enough for operators of all skill levels. It can operate as a Digital Readout (DRO) for manual work. It can also be shifted into a motion controller and a CNC control for semi- and fully automatic operations.
5. Hard-Wearing Electronic Variable Speed Head
The EVS 760-B mills reduce wear and tear on the variable speed head with the use of a frequency inverter. SmartCut SC EVS 760-B CNC also has a spindle override capability and programmability.
