Summit® SmartCut II Series Big Hole CNC Lathes are designed for machine shops that are evolving from manual processes to CNC production. These revolutionary machines combine the precision performance of full CNC operation with the affordability of manual lathes.
The Fagor 8055 CNC control has hand wheels for manual turning, providing maximum convenience and economy. The control includes an innovative self-teaching controller feature that stores machining sequences from manually produced parts for future reproduction.
Summit SmartCut II Series Big Hole CNC Lathes function as single machines for one-off or prototype production, in semi-automatic mode for small production lots and in fully automatic mode for medium length production runs. The combination of CNC control features and manual hand wheel operation makes these CNC Lathes ideal for any shop.
