Description
Summit® Big Swing Geared Head and Variable Speed Lathes (35″, 42″ and 52″) have set a new standard among machining tools in this size range with their large workpiece capacity and depth and combination of “standard” features. These lathes are available in stepped speed and variable speed models and in center distances from 60″ to 240″. Summit Big Swing Precision Lathes have 35″ to 52″ swing over the bed and 19.3″ to 37″ swing over the cross slide.

- 27.5″ wide fully ribbed closed grain cast bed accommodates large workpieces
- Quick change gearbox will cut American (inch), Metric and Module threads
- Rapid traverse on carriage (4-way joystick)
- 2-speed tailstock for faster setups
